John Pulomena has lived in South Plainfield for 24 years. He graduated from the City University, New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Computer Science/Math. He is Vice President and CFO of Car-Tech Auto Transport, Inc. He was previously employed for 22 years at AT&T as Chief Financial Officer, Network Services Division.   In addition, John and his wife, Maha, own Imperial Delicatessen in South Plainfield and Sunnyside Delicatessen in Edison.   John lives at 5 Holly Park Drive with his wife, Maha and two children, Matthew and Megan. 

John is a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of the Junior Baseball Club where he volunteered as a coach. He was elected to the South Plainfield Borough Council from 1990 to 1998. He served as Council President from1995 to1997. He was also the Chairperson of the Middlesex County Planning Board.

As a member of the Board of Chosen Freeholders, John Pulomena is Chairman of the Health and Education Departments. He has also been instrumental in spearheading the Middlesex County Tech 2000 program, which provides One Million Dollars per year to purchase state of the art computers for Middlesex County Teachers for use in the classroom.
