Elected Mayor in 2006, Charlie is 50 years old and has lived in South Plainfield all his life. Prior to being elected Mayor he was elected as a councilman in 2001 and in 2004. He graduated from Rutgers University, with high honors, with a degree in Management and is currently employed by Computer Sciences Corporation as an Account Executive.

Charlie has three daughters, Dana, Kristie and Michelle. He is a member of the Business Advisory Group as well as the Planning Board. He is also a member of the South Plainfield Knights of Columbus and past member of the Producing Board of the South Plainfield Summer Drama Workshop He also coached his daughters in both t-ball and softball.

Elected councilwoman in 2008. Chrissy is 27 years old and has lived in South Plainfield her whole life.

Chrissy served as a Raimondo Fellow at Eagleton Institute of Politics. She holds an MPA from the school of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University-Newark and a BA from Rowan University.

Chrissy is employed by the Capital Impact Group as a Public Affairs Associate.

She is a member of the Public Celebrations Committee and a former commissioner on the South Plainfield Recreation Commission. Chrissy is also a former fellow in Leadership New Jersey, one of the most prestigious leadership development programs in the State and President of the Middlesex County Women's Political Caucus.

Councilwoman Buteas chairs the Health, Welfare & Environment Committee and serves on the Public Safety and Economic Development Committees.

Elected councilman in 2008. Franky is 26 years old and is a life long resident of South Plainfield. Upon graduation from South Plainfield High School in 2002, Franky enlisted in the United States Navy and was deployed to Iraq where he served for over one year.

Franky graduated with honors from the Union County Electrical Program in 2007. He is currently employed by WSL Services as an electrician apprentice.

Franky lives at 240 Geary Drive with his parents, April and John Salerno. He attends Sacred Heart Church and became a member of the Planning Board in 2006. Franky is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Italian American Club. He is also very involved with the development of youth programs. He coaches the South Plainfield Eagles Football team and also started the Franky Salerno Scholarship program which raises money for children who need additional funds to further their education.

Councilman Salerno chairs the Economic Development Committee and serves on Health, Welfare and Environment and Public Safety Committees.
