PETRONKO AND SCRUDATO "WHERE"S THE DOG PARK"

Democratic council candidates Ray Petronko and Joe Scrudato again pointed out that their opponents will say or promise just about anything to get elected. Ray Petronko commented "By now most residents are familiar with Mr. Bengivenga and Anesh's recent conversion concerning putting trucks back on Hamilton Boulevard. They ran several campaigns trying to put trucks back and suddenly two weeks ago they did a 'never mind' on the issue. As the old saying goes, "If you can't beat them, join them." They have done the same on giving pay raises to the department heads and other issues. It's sad to say but it appears Rob and Matt will promise just about anything to get a vote. It's bad enough that they take this approach with humans, but they even make promises they don't intend to keep to the family dog."

Joe Scrudato expanded upon his running mates comments: "For three years running the Republicans led by Anesh, Bengivenga and their campaign chair Bob Jones made a Dog Park one of their top campaign issues. They even took pictures with dogs and made a point to say they visited dog parks all over the state to find out the best design. After they were elected, they forgot all about the promise they made to the Fidos and Spots of our borough. I guess they were just barking up the wrong tree. We all know it was a made up campaign issue by the Republicans to try to garner the votes of pet owners."

Ray Petronko summed up the position of the Democrats saying: "We are obviously having a little fun with this issue but the point remains the same. Anesh and Bengivenga have flip flopped on trucks, on pay raises, and even on their promise to dog owners. The citizens of our great borough deserve straight talk about what's important to them and that is what you will always get from Joe Scrudato and Ray Petronko."
